Immaculate room, very warm welcome. Amazing architecture inside and out with a very interesting history. Great value that included breakfast and evening meal, drinks were a very reasonable price. Good access to walking from Sandsend either to Whitby or Runswick Bay.

Just arrived home after a night away at Dunsley Hall Hotel. What a wonderful place. Our room was very clean, comfortable and so peaceful too. The food at dinner was great. The breakfast is probably one of the best we have had. All the staff were very friendly which makes a huge difference. Well done to all of you !

There are only two negatives with this Hotel. One is the internet reception, which is poor and the other is they have no pool, which would attract many more people. The staff were very friendly nothing was too much and the breakfast was excellent. Perfect location in a tranquil setting yet close to beaches and Whitby!

Our first stay at Dunsley & found it charming. The food included in our stay was 5star quality & the staff very friendly & accommodating. Lovely clean room & clean en suite tho no hairdryer , so I asked for one & reception found one straight away . Will deffo be back on day 😁

I had been working hard and needed a quiet break. The hotel was in a great location and the silence was golden, my room was clean with generous complimentary tea/coffee and bottled water. Some bathroom accessories with clean white towels. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel felt pleasantly warm. Good food and lovely staff. Thanks for a great stay.

This is an excellent value hotel which has some great rooms and some not so great rooms. Food is excellent, but some staff would benefit from additional training. Convenient for both Whitby and Sansend. Definitely conside when their special rates are on, off season. Much better than a premier inn at similar cost.

Beautiful hotel, we paid for a double room, dinner bed & breakfast on the autumn deal £109 all in. The room turned out to be a private suite with a separate lounge & large TV, Large bedroom & TV. Encompassing hall with separate sitting area. The solid wood furniture & carpets were excellent. The evening meal consisted of 3 courses of beautiful food with multiple choices on each course. Wine & beer prices were very reasonable. Breakfast was very satisfying. This is a fantastic venue for a short get away and or wedding venue as the fabulous grounds would make memorable photo opportunities. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful setting. The bedroom was huge, as was the separate bathroom. The feel of the hall with its wood panelling is wonderful. Food during the evening meal and breakfast was nice. Bar is nice and snug with a further sitting room down the hall if you want to sit elsewhere. Will visit again.

we had a fabulous stay for our anniversary. the staff are very friendly and very helpful. we absolutely loved oliver who was amazing 👏. five stars for you oliver. you was so kind and helpful. we had a wheelchair accessible room. there was lots of space. the hotel is beautifully decorated. it was spotlessly clean. the grounds were stunning with the flowers in bloom. the breakfast was nice with gluten free options. my only negative is that the WiFi didn't reach room 21. thank you for our wonderful stay

Spent a couple of nights this weekend with some car club friends. The food and staff were both excellent. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Room we had was so spacious with a separate bathroom and lounge and decent sized bedroom. We loved it with the hotel itself having a great feel and lovely communal areas too. Thank you!

Beautiful room, beautiful reading room whilst I waited for the restaurant to open and breakfast was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful but they were definitely short staffed. I’d definitely come again.

Visited dunsley hall twice a year for several years and always been wonderful but last November booked it for my mums 80 birthday and was cancelled due too flooding which was understandable but this week had a phone call telling us they were cancelling our booking for the 28 may for 3 nights due too being understaffed really a week before we were due to go is not good enough what has happened to this place I can safely say we shall not be returning again it’s a shame because this used to be a great place

Used to love this place but after the last years refit of certain rooms and areas the prices have gone up, like all hotels and that is not a suprise, it seems to be under staffed and this is noticeable at breakfast and dinner as the wait times are a lot longer. The breakfast food served was dried up and we waited for the longest time for it to arrive. The room we stayed in was ok but the bath had not been cleaned out and the shower door was badly fitted, again all this points to a lack of staff.

We stayed here for 6 nights for our honeymoon in mid Sept 23. The house is very picturesque from the outside and sympathetically decorated inside. In the nicest sense, it had a Faulty Towers feel to it. The staff were lovely and very helpful and warm. The room rate included breakfast and evening meal but, as nice as the food was, the menu didn't change all week so we ate out a few times. There is only one veggie option for dinner which was rather disappointing. The location is excellent, being just a short drive from Sandsend beach and also Whitby is very near. It's a very secluded, peaceful location but unfortunately, we were in room 18. This room is directly above the kitchen and the chef seemed to enjoy playing club music for the entirety of his shift- 7.30am to 9pm. We didn't complain about this as it improved mid week with a change of chef. The room was massive with an impressively high, firm bed. We had a separate bathroom which housed a lovely deep bath and roomy shower. In all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Not sure if having the dinner option is worth it though.

Well, what can I say 🤷 absolutely 💯 rooms, food, staff, excellent went with my husband, brother, and sister in law for 1 night stay. I will definitely be booking a night away again if you get the chance go you won't be disappointed
